Club Committee

Club Committee Members

Playing in the Amateur Football Combination (affiliated to the Amateur Football Alliance), Old Thorntonians FC consists of 7 teams. These range from the Premier Division to South 7.and we also have a vets team.

Below is a profile of the committee members and team managers.

Club Chairman

‘Scotty’ is the Club Chairman having taken the reins over from former Chairman and all round club legend Stuart Halliday in July 2016. He is responsible for all aspects of the clubs operations – football, financial and otherwise. A proud Yorkshireman and mighty Leeds United supporter, Scotty is looking forward to taking the club forward in the coming years.

1st Team Manager, Club Coach, and Clubhouse Facilities Manager

As 1st Team Manager, Club Coach, and Clubhouse Facilities Manager, Walshy brings his wealth of coaching skills to the table in our Thursday training sessions and provides a valuable source of coaching advice and guidance to players throughout the club. He also looks after our on site clubhouse bar at REMPF. On match day he’s boss as first team manager.

Team Managers

Alongside Walshy, Deji, Lang, Nima, ASR, James Timmins and Si Thomas are the seven team managers. They select the squads, run training sessions, make sure we have playing kit balls and all other equipment needed for games, liaise with refs and oppos on matchdays, and do various other admin to make sure everything else just has to worry about playing their best each Saturday.






Comms Manager

RPJ is our Comms Manager administering our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels and creating comms media for the club. As the club’s design guru he is always on the lookout for top quality #content. He also looks after our Veo Camera for recording home games.

Club Treasurer

Chris Weir serves as Club Treasurer in managing the club’s finances including collating playing subs, fines and registrations and reporting on these regularly for managers as well compiling club budgets and end of year accounts.

Fixture Secretary

Yoga loving Stu Jordan is the Club’s Fixture Secretary responsible for liaising with the opposition, refs and the league in scheduling and organising fixtures.

Club Secretary

Colin Paterson serves as Club Secretary acting as main point of contact for player registrations as well as liaising with the league on insurance, charter standard, player discipline, league and cup affiliation and general match day issues.

Club Social Secretary

Billy McLean takes on the coveted role of Club Social Secretary. He will have his hands full planning the Summer Social, Christmas Party, End of Season Awards and Summer Tour and ensuring all new players feel welcomed to the best and most sociable club in London!

Training Co-ordinator

Hailing from deepest Rochdale Matty Crawford co-ordinates our Thursday training sessions along with Peter Walsh making sure we are all in good nick come kick off on Saturday.

OTPI Stats Manager

Denver Lalonde is our OTPI Stats Manager, running the weekly match stats through his super computer to work out the Team of the Week and then the overall awards winners at the end of the season.

Website Manager

Paul Ball is our Website Manager, using his tech wizardry to keep everything up to date and in working order on the club website.
